In the news: The ultimate in relaxation

Easy Living Guide

The design of the Mewstone by Easystart Homes is versatile enough to allow for entertaining to be high on the agenda and also provides plenty of space to unwind and relax in.

Three of the four bedrooms are located towards the rear of the home, while the master suite has been given pride of place at the front.

"The Mewstone has been cleverly designed to position the master suite to the front of the home, away from the hustle and bustle of the children's bedrooms and entertaining zones - perfect for busy couples or parents who value relaxation and privacy," Easystart Homes Sales Manager Ryan Underwood says.

The generous master suite comes complete with an oversized walk-in robe and large ensuite with double-sized shower and private toliet.

Tucked just behind the master suite is the massive home theatre, which Ryan says turns the front of the home into a sprawling parents' retreat.

"The home theatre is one of the largest in this price range, adding a private space to unwind away from the main entertainment zones," he says.

Although a great place for parents to relax, Ryan says the theatre is designed with flexibility in mind so the space can transform to suit the unique needs of every family.

"It's such a large space that everyone will be able to enjoy a movie night together, and could even double as a games room with enough space for a pool table or even a home bar," he says.

The main entertaining area comprises the large open-plan living and dining area that seamlessly connects with the alfresco through sliding doors.

This space is flooded with natural light from the large windows that encompass the space.

"The Mewstone has been designed to invite the outside in, with expansive use of oversized windows to the living and dining area giving depth and openness to the space and lots of natural light," Ryan says.

Overlooking the open-plan area is the kitchen, a space that fully utilises the 31-course ceilings it sits under. Built in a galley-style design it includes a large walk-in pantry, concealed fridge/freezer recess, feature open shelving and a large benchtop space, making it the ideal place to prepare and entertain from.

Named after the unpopulated island just off the south coast of Tasmania, Ryan says the design of this home resembles the tranquil island with soft earthy finishes giving the home a welcoming feel.

"The Mewstone shows how to live large on 15m blocks and is a great home to entertain family and friends with plenty of separate spaces, both indoors and out," he says.
